THESIS: SEEING, READING AND
WRITING URBAN SPACE AS TEST
This study defines the city as a text and a sketch based on the everyday physical space and events that the first person, 'I (researcher)', experiences and feels in a space called 'Seoul' It is a process of approaching and reading down the city.
Experience and memory provide an opportunity for an individual to engage in
a specific space by imparting the character of the space only. The perception of
this imprinted space has a great impact on the personal life and the formation of relationships with others. However, today 's urban space surrounded by buildings of similar shape does not have a special story of the space, interrupts open communication with others living together, cuts off communication, and causes human alienation and loss feeling. For this reason, this study seeks to interpret the city as a text on the one hand to interpret the space and capture the problem in order to regain the identity and meaning of urban space.
